Carriages at Keeneland

The earliest automobiles were basically traditional carriages to which an engine and drive train had been added. To honor these earliest motor vehicles, the 13th Annual Keeneland Concours d'Elegance had a special class for some of those people who made the carriages. Included in this class was a 1911 Locomobile Baby Tonneau 4 Door Touring Type L.
Also part of this class was a 1891 Healey and Company Ladies Wicker Phaeton Carriage, a 1933 Rolls Royce Phantom III, a 1901 Brewster Station Brougham, a 1898 Kimball Brothers Park Phaeton Carriage, and a 1895 Studebaker Pony Wicker Phaeton Carriage.
