Last month I was part of a very small crew shooting footage at the Model T Ford Club of America Museum for pitches of several television shows. I can't really talk about the specific shows but can say that the MTFCA Museum was the perfect backdrop for them. The museum, located in Richmond, IN, is literally stuffed with history. Featuring rare Model Ts as well as many unique and varied versions, this museum may be small but it should be on everyone's bucket list; at least everyone who fancies the Car of the 20th Century.
Cinematographer Jim Rollo is seen here setting up the first shot.
Yes, Jim is standing beneath a single passenger aircraft that was powered by a Model T engine.
The predecessor of the Model T, the Model N featured a great deal of similarities in design.
My daughter Alli makes sure that Jim stays on schedule.
Jim getting his drone working. We did aerial shots of several Model Ts.
The drone in flight.
Two of the Model Ts that we shot, being led by a beautiful 1914 model.
Jim looking up at the drone as two more Model Ts roll by.
While Jim was operating the drone I was shooting on the sidelines.
Looking over Jim's shoulder at the beautiful footage from the drone.
After the shoot I took my turn in that 1914 Model T.
