Closing Out Glendale

Today is the last post from the Glendale Gathering. This features such cars as a 1957 Chevy Handyman, a Shelby Cobra replica, a Camaro, a 1939 Packard, a Corvair, a 1949 Cadillac convertible once owned by Paramount Studios and more. One thing I really like about the Glendale Gathering is how many foreign entries there always are. And it's not just the usual suspects. Here there was a Jaguar E Type, a Honda S600, a Lotus, a Porsche 356, a couple Ferrari supercars, a couple from Porsche and more.

The Glendale Gathering

Each year the Glendale Gathering brings together some of the best cars in the region. This quality has made this one of the most prestigious events of the season. With the head judge being the same individual who heads up the selection committee for the Cincinnati Concours d'Elegance there's little wonder why so many great cars come out for this. Such cars as a 1929 Ford. a Mustang, a Cadillac convertible, a Jeep, a Ford Bronco, a Cyclone and a 1969 Buick reflect why.

Some Foreigners at Glendale

The annual Glendale Gathering is like a mini-concours with lots of beautiful automobiles on hand. This year's was no exception so today and all of next week I'll be posting photos from the show. Today, some foreign cars including BMW 2002, a more modern BMW, a Volkswagen Beetle, a Jetta, a Jaguar, a pair of Mercedes convertibles , an E-Type, and a pair of Ferraris.

Shriners Hospital

Each year the local Shriners hold a show at one of the area's Quaker Steak and Lube locations to raise money for a very worthy cause, the Shriner's Hospital. This year was a smaller than normal turnout but the cars that were there looked fantastic, including a Ford Pinto, a Mustang, a Chevy Handyman, a 1924 Model T, a Corvette, a Volkswagen Beetle, and a beautiful Studebaker Hawk.
