Chevys Were A Big Part of the Parade

The 65th Antique and Classic Car Parade is technically an open show which will always bring out a large selection of Chevrolet automobiles. This event drew a vast number of different Chevy makes and models. Some I'm putting in their own posts but for today we have a number of great cars sporting the bow tie, among them this fantastic Handiman wagon, a couple 1955 Bel Aira, a pair of 1951 De Luxe models, a 1953 210, a 1967 Malibu convertible, and a 1967 Impala.

The Last Cars From Amelia

Today I'll be posted the last of the photos I took at the 15th Annual Cruise In For Our Youth show held in support of the West Clermont High School scholarship program. The show was a bit of a surprise because all week long they had predicted rain but come show day it was perfect weather with clear skies and nice temperatures. This brought out cars like this Volkswagen Beetle, a street rod Chevy Bel Air, a 1963 Ford Fairlane, a Camaro, a Porsche Boxter, and a very nice C3 Corvette. If you have any comments about this show or anything on the blog feel free to leave a comment or send me an email at turnerbudds@yahoo.com.

A Show Supporting High School Students

The 15th Annual Cruise In For Our Youth show at the Amelia Masonic Lodge raised money for the students of West Clermont High School. The proceeds go to the school's scholarship fund to help worthy students continue their education. And it's obvious that a number of great car enthusiasts were happy to add their support by showing up for the event. Among them was a beautiful Chevrolet Monte Carlo, a 1967 Nova SS, a 1963 Pontiac Bonneville convertible, a 1962 Bel Air, a race modified Chevy 210, and a Nova station wagon.

The Weather Co-operated For the Car Fans

The weather this year has been crazy not only in my little neck of the planet but all over the world. We have had so much rain that it's been rare to be able to actually hold a car event. The weather forecasters had predicted on and off thunderstorms for the day of the 15th Annual Cruise In For Our Youth show at the Amelia Masonic Lodge but instead it turned into an absolutely perfect day with clear blue skies and temperatures in the low 80s. This brought out some fantastic cars such as this Chevy Chevelle Super Sport, as well as a 1966 Ford Mustang convertible, a 1938 Chevy, a 1967 Chevelle station wagon, my friend Don's 1961 Studebaker Hawk, a 1963 Ford Thunderbird, and a 1959 Dodge Town Wagon that wasn't exactly stock.
