A Small Show Near A Historic Spot

The Super 60s Car Show held in support of the Norwood Fire Association and the Norwood Police Association was held, fittingly enough, in the city of Norwood. Norwood is important because between 1923 and 1987 it was the home of one of General Motor's largest assembly plants (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norwood_Assembly). Over the years the Norwood plant, which produced mostly Chevrolet models, made such cars as the Bel Air, the Biscayne, the Impala, the Nova, and the Caprice. In addition, the plant also made the Buick Apollo and the Pontiac Firebird. The plant was most known for being a top builder of the Camaro. I had an uncle who worked at the plant and my older brother also put in a stint there while in college. (To read more about the Norwood Assembly Plant check out this link or just run a search: https://www.norwoodassemblyplant.com/). It was fitting that among the cars attending this show was a 1984 Camaro. Also there was a pair of 1957 Bel Airs, a Chevelle SS, a Dodge Swinger, a cool, chopped custom roadster, a Nova SS, and second generation 1961 Ford Thunderbird.
