Some Unique Rides At Crestview Hills

It's always fun to stumble across some different and unique cars when you happen across a new car show. There were a few at the Crestview Hills Mall show that qualified as fairly unique. At least they weren't the typical rides seen at every show. For example, there was a Laser 917 kit car. The Laser uses a Volkswagen frame and custom fiberglass body to emulate the famous Porsche 917 that won the 24 Hours of LeMans. At the time I shot these pics the Laser had a VW flat four engine. It has since been upgraded to a Porsche boxer engine. How do I know this, the owner is a friend of my, a former school teacher named Larry Mertens.

In addition to the Laser 917, the show also featured seriously customized 1955 Chevy Bel Air, a beautiful 1975 Cadillac convertible, a DeLorean, a Buick Grand National, a 1966 Ford Mustang, and an Oldsmobile 98.
