A Car Show and An Ice Cream Social

The Annual Bethel Murdoch Presbyterian Church Car Show is more than just that. In addition to the fine cars that always seem to roll in this event doubles as an ice cream social. Yes, the ice cream is a major fundraiser for the church, just as is the car show, but how often do you get to sample some delicious ice cream while wandering around a lot filled with great old cars? Among the cars in the lot this year was a well worn Chevy pick up truck, a 1957 Bel Air, a 1968 Pontiac GTO, a Ford F 100 pick up, an old Chevy coupe, a rare 1952 Chevy sedan, a Ford street rod, and an actual Cobra, not a kit car but the real thing.

Bethel Murdoch Church Car Show

Recently the Annual Bethel Murdoch Presbyterian Church Car Show was held with a good turn out as over 50 cars pulled onto the church's lawn to take part. Included was a Ford Thunderbird, a Chevy Bel Air, a Pontiac GTO, a 1957 Bel Air, a 1970 Mustang, a C 3 Corvette, a cute little Pinto, a dune buggy, and a nicely shorted and chopped Ford roadster.

Closing the Week In Cheviot

Held at Harvest Home Park in Cheviot, the 3rd Annual Family Fair Car Show brought out a small but impressive collection of automobiles. On display were a sweet custom 1929 Ford, a 1937 Ford, a 1986 Mercury Marques, a 1967 Pontiac Firebird, and a pre-war Ford sedan.

The 3rd Annual Grease Monkey Garage Family Fair Car Show brought a nice selection of dragsters to Harvest Home Park in Cheviot. Check out this group of speed demons.

A Great Place For a Car Show

The 3rd Annual Grease Monkey Garage is held in a great location for a show, the Harvest Home Park. Here the cars can park on the grass and there are even some trees for providing shade, which was important at this year's event which was held in sweltering heat. Still, a number of really cool cars came out for the event including a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, a Gold Duster, a trio of Pontiac Trans Ams, and a second generation Chevy Corvette.

Low Riders At the Family Fair Car Show

One of the cool things about the 3rd Annual Grease Monkey Garage Family Fair Car Show is that in each of the years the Dedication Car Club brings out a number of their low riders. This year was no different as they rolled in together. In fact, the first Buick Regal pictured actually rolled in standing on two wheels. It was quite a show.

Family Fair Car Show

The 3rd Annual Grease Monkey Garage Family Fair Car Show saw the smallest turnout yet for this event. But there was a logical reason for the decrease in vehicles: weather. With temperatures in the 90s and a heat index that topped 100 added to the high chance of thunderstorms as the afternoon wore on, it's little surprise a lot of people decided to pass on this year's event.

Despite this, there were still a good number of great cars that did show up including a 1957 Chevy Bel Air, a 1955 Bel Air, an Oldsmobile 442, a 1941 Ford Custom sedan, a Buick Regal, a 1966 Volkswagen Beetle, and a Ford Mustang convertible.
