More Chrome Show and Road Rally

While the Third Annual Chrome Show and Road Rally had a lot of Mustangs, Vettes and Camaros, as you've seen so far if you looked at the earlier entries there were a lot of other types of vehicles that turned out as well. Here are some more of them.

Trophies and Awards

In looking at the information about the Third Annual Chrome Show and Road Rally sponsored by Northern Kentucky University's WNKU and Steely Library, something hit me. There were about 50 cars entered in the event. According to the information I was given about it there were going to be 30Judges Trophies handed out in addition to the Top 10 Show Trophies. That means that just about everyone who showed up left with something new for their mantle. Not that that's why owners do these things but it's never a bad feeling coming home with a trophy to display.

Chrome Show and Road Rally

For the third year WNKU and Steely Library on the campus of Northern Kentucky University held their Chrome Show and Road Rally. The event kicks off with a 50 mile road rally and culminates in one of the university parking lots where, this year, nearly 50 cars turned out on a pleasant spring day. The event helps raise money for the member supported college radio station, WNKU.

Why Do I Do It?

I've had a few friends and strangers alike ask me why I spend large portions of my weekends at car shows. I no longer have a show car. I don't post ads on this blog to make money (not that I would earn much from them even if I did). For me it's fun. I enjoy spending a few hours here and there, taking pictures of great cars, meeting new people and catching up with old friends. Now if someone wants to pay me for doing this, all the better, but until then, I'll try to keep rolling along by posting pictures from all the great shows I attend.
