The city of Sharonville has quite an interesting history. The land was discovered in the late 1700s and the first settlement occurred in the 1820s along the banks of the Erie Canal. Their history with transportation didn't end when the canal system became outdated. Sharonville grew up to become a noted railroad town and there are still trains that run past it several times a day. It also became the home of one of the largest transmission plants in the country. And each year they host the first big car show of the season.
