Future Classics at Keenland

Just about every Concours event has a classification for current, modern super cars that it will call Future Classics. The Keenland Concours d'Elegance is no different offering up a selection of cars from this century that most of us would never be able to afford. Included in this group was a $270,000 2013 Ferrari 458 Spider. The car features a 4.5 liter 500 horse power V 8 that has a top speed of 200 miles per hour.
Less expensive and yet powerful is this 2008 Audi R8 Coupe Quattro from the first year this beautiful car was made. It sports an all wheel drive system with its six speed manual transmission all being powered by a 4.2 liter 420 horse power V 8 that can push this car to only 185 miles per hour. Only.
Another German supercar has always taken a different approach with the belief that smaller is better. This 2012 Porsche Cayman R was a lighter, faster update of the previous cars in this line. With a top speed of 187 miles per hour, this car is the lightest Cayman yet.
Usually at car events a Chevy Camaro is sitting alongside with the other muscle cars from an earlier era but this 2013 Camaro ZL1 convertible with its massive 6.2 liter engine capable of 580 horse power more than qualifies it to be in consideration as a future classic.
BMW's M Series cars have always been leaner and meaner and always faster than their standard line. So in 2011 when they decided to create a limited edition 1 Series M Coupe, people knew it was going to be fast. Though BMW won't say what the car is actually capable of doing they have electronically limited the top speed to 155 miles per hour.
The fastest, most expensive car in this class is this 2005 Porsche Carrera GT. With a price tag of $488,000 this rocket can top out at 205 miles per hour.
