The Classic Car Club of America has a specific roster of cars that they recognize as true classics. The Keeneland Concours d'Elegance devotes an entire class just to these magnificent cars. One display in the sun was this 1928 Auburn 8-88 Boattail Speedster which featured such engineering innovations as four-wheel brakes and a "one-shot" lubrication system.
Gleaming in the warm sun was this 1931 Pierce Arrow Model 43 which, believe it or not, was the entry level model. Also on the lawn was a 1941 Cadillac 6227D which originally sold for $1,231, a 1937 Cord 812 Westchester is one of only two cars with a bolt on trunk, a 1932 Packard 902 Roadster Coupe which sold new for $2650, and a 1935 Pierce Arrow Model 1245 Brunn Bodied Rumbleseat Convertible Coupe which was only of only 875 cars Pierce would manufacture that year.
