The Ault Park Concours d'Elegance was one of the first concours events in the country to recognize the importance of Asian automobiles. This year's selection of Asian cars included a 1978 Datsun B210 GX that averaged 50 MPG highway. Also on display was a 1965 Toyota Publica Convertible which ran on a 45 horse power air cooled two cylinder engine. There was a 1991 Acura NSX which was the world's first mass produced all aluminum bodied car. Also on the Ault Park lawn was a Datsun 260X which suffered from all of the safety and pollution features that had allowed it's predecessor, the 240X, to be a sports car that threatened the Europeans.
