The earliest automobiles were basically traditional carriages to which an engine and drive train had been added. To honor these earliest motor vehicles, the 13th Annual Keeneland Concours d'Elegance had a special class for some of those people who made the carriages. Included in this class was a 1911 Locomobile Baby Tonneau 4 Door Touring Type L.
Also part of this class was a 1891 Healey and Company Ladies Wicker Phaeton Carriage, a 1933 Rolls Royce Phantom III, a 1901 Brewster Station Brougham, a 1898 Kimball Brothers Park Phaeton Carriage, and a 1895 Studebaker Pony Wicker Phaeton Carriage.
