Muscle and performance cars are always popular draws at any car show, but the powerful machines that are chosen for a concours event more than raises some eyebrows. The Performance Class at this year's Dayton Concours d'Elegance, held at and in support of Carillon Historic Park, was a magnificent collection of historic rides up through 1982. Included in this class was a 1971 Chevrolet Nova SS, a 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner, a 1967 Pontiac GTO, a 1969 Pontiac Firebird, a 1969 Chevy Camaro, a 1967 Ford Mustang GTA Fastback, a 1967 Pontiac GTO, a 1966 Chevy Chevelle 396, and a 1970 Dodge Coronet G/T.
