For the 41st Annual Cincinnati Concours d'Elegance the featured marque was 7 Decades of Porsche. Most of the center field was dedicated to this iconic German company. One class had the very earliest Porsche road cars, from the beginning up until 1960. This class included an example of the first Porsche road car. In this case it was a 1949 356 Gmund Coupe.
Also in the class was a 1952 356 Cabriolet with body work by Reutter. This particular car is number 40 of 304 cabriolets made.
Then there was a 1952 356 Coupe. This car had an interesting option, a fuel gauge.
This is a 1955 356 Speedster. It is number 394 of the slightly more than 1200 built. It underwent a complete restoration in 2012.
This car is a 1956 356 A Coupe. It, like all of the early Porsches was designed by Ferry Porsche, son of the man who created the Volkswagen Beetle, and Erwin Komeda.
Here is a 1960 356 B Super 90 Cabriolet. The Super 90 refered to the fact that it produced 90 horsepower with its air cooled flat four engine. This is a past concours winning car.
Some might be surprised to learn that Porsche also made tractors. Here is a 1957 P 122 Allgaier Tractor. Unlike its contemporary stablemates this vehicle made a top speed of a mere 18 miles per hour.
