The number of amazing automobiles that annually roll into Newport for the Rides On Monmouth show is pretty staggering. Generally the town's main street shuts down five to seven city blocks and cars fill the space as well as some side parking lots and down a couple side streets. And the cars are indeed amazing. Take for example this Mercury Comet Cyclone which was joined by a slightly custom International Harvester pick up truck, a pre-war Ford pick up sporting the famous V8, a Chevy Camaro dragster, a custom Impala, a Buick Skylark Gran Sport, and a custom street rod sedan.
