This particular show, held at a nearby Quaker Steak and Lube, helped raise money for a very worthy cause, the Shriner's Burn Institute. My father was a Shriner and I remember as a kid taking trips down to the Burn Institute and being amazed by so many things. Particularly the extent of the injuries on all of those kids, many younger than me. But more so at how they seemed to have brushed it off and were happily playing with each other. It was amazing. This show is for a wonderful cause. And it brought in many wonderful automobiles including a Pontiac GTO, a Chevy pick up truck, a custom made race car, a pre-War Ford coup, a 1926 Dodge sedan, a 1950 Chevy DeLux, a Ford street rod, and a 1941 Ford pick up.
Whether they're the great classics, ultimate collectors, overlooked and forgotten, or even brand new cars I want to talk about them. Feel free to leave a comment or, better yet, drop me an email at turnerbudds@yahoo.com.
