For a show that was put together late and was really only advertised by word of mouth and flyers being passed out of other shows, the Wheels On Monmouth event could only be called a stunning success. With well over 400 vehicles lining Newport's main street along with numerous side lots and various special exhibit areas, this take on the annual Rides On Monmouth show was a brilliant surprise. Among the numerous cars on display was a 1958 Ford Thunderbird, a Galaxie convertible, a 1969 Chevy Nova Super Sport, a 1972 Nova SS, a beautiful two tone Fairlane, an El Camino, a 1956 Thunderbird convertible and a 1971 Plymouth.
