This 1960 Studebaker Silver Hawk is just one example of the over 100 brilliant cars and trucks that showed up for the 5th Spirit In the Sky Car Show held in Blanchester to help raise money for the Lane Heeg Memorial Scholarship Fund. Studebaker started turning out Silver Hawks in 1956 but a steel strike in 1960 hurt the entire industry and almost caused the company to not produce any Silver Hawks. But their sales leader, Lark, saw sales dip so there was steel available to make some of these beautiful automobiles. Also on display for this show was a 1967 Chevrolet Nova, a modern Ford Mustang Cobra GT500, a 1974 Oldsmobile Royale, a 1965 Olds Cutlass, a Pontiac GTO, a 1931 Ford Model A, a 1924 Ford truck, a Chevy 3100 pick up truck, a Chevy Blazer, a 1967 Chevy 10 truck, a restomod Camaro, a 1953 Ford truck, a 1969 Chevy El Camino, a Cadillac XLR convertible, and a 1972 Chevy Monte Carlo.
