American Performance at Keeneland

The American Performance class at this year's Keeneland Concours d'Elegance was filled with great muscle power, including this 1972 AMC Jevelin SST which was equipped with a 360 cubic inch V8 and cost all of $4189 new.
A number of great cars were flexing their muscle on the lawn including this 1969 Mercury Cyclone Spoiler II which was built to boost the NASCAR presence of parent firm Ford, this 1969 Dodge Charger White Hat Special which was one of only 200 of these specially made trims, a one owner 1969 Dodge Daytona which is number 47 and boasts a 440 Magnum V8 that growls out 375 horse power, a 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 which was built for only two years to race in the SCCA, a 1964 Pontiac GTO Convertible powered by a 389 cubic inch Tri-Power V8 engine, a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Rally Sport which has won concours events in Boca Raton, Hilton Head and Winter Park as well as other major events, a 1970 Chevrolet Vhevelle SS 396 that has just about every option available at the time including an AM-FM 8-Track tape player, and a 1962 Pontiac Catalina Super Duty which sports a 421 cubic inch 405 horse power Tri-Power V8.
