A Show On the River

The small river town of Ripley, OH rests on the banks of the Ohio River. The land was first settled in 1804, a reward to a prominent soldier from the Revolutionary War but was named for a heroic general from the War of 1812. With a population of fewer than 2000, this rural town doesn't seem to be the kind of place to hold a car show. But last month the Bob Groh Memorial Car Show was held and brought out some nice rolling metal. Among the cars on display was a pre-War Chevy sedan, a Chevelle in the Malibu trim package (yes, before the Malibu was its own line it was a special order trim of a Chevelle), a fourth generation Plymouth Valiant in the Scamp package, a Ford pick up, a Nova, and a rare 1931 Chevy.
