A Show That Has Grown Every Year

The Cruisin' To A Cure For ALS show started with modest expectations five years ago. The promoters got permission to use an old parking lot on the outskirts of the river city of Lawrenceberg. To everyone's surprise that lot was overflowing with great classic and collector automobiles. The second year the show moved downtown onto the city's main street and from there it has continued to expand, now taking up the better part of two city streets and dozens of blocks. In fact, this past year they checked in 927 vehicles. Among that massive lot was this slick 1969 Ford Galaxie, a 1970 Chevy Chevelle, an El Camino, a 1969 Chevelle 396, a 1994 Dodge Shadow ES, a concours quality Mercury Comet, a 1973 Chevy II with the Nova trim (yes, the Nova started life as just an available trim for the Chevy Deuce), and a 1967 Chevelle.
