When the global pandemic of Covid 19 wiped out most car shows last year and a good number of them this current show season, one of most missed was the annual Rides On Monmouth event in Newport, KY. In an effort to help bring some business to the local economy organizers decided to put on a last minute event called Wheels On Monmouth. Rather than just have a traditional car show they expanded the event to include some extra, special viewing areas for certain high end vehicles as well as having DJs, live bands and even a skateboard show.
All of this brought out a wide selection of well over 400 vehicles. Among them was a Chevy Nova Super Sport, a Ford Thunderbird convertible, a rare Biscayne station wagon, a 1966 Plymouth Satellite complete with the 426 Hemi, a 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger, a Dodge Demon, and a Plymouth Barracuda.
