Mustangs Ponied Up To Raise Money For Charity

The Ford Mustang is one of the most iconic American automobiles. Created mainly from the parts bins of the Ford Falcon, this "pony car" was near the beginning of a wave of sporty vehicles with a long nose and a short deck. A bit of trivia, the Mustang wasn't technically the first of these pony cars. The Plymouth Barracuda, sporting the same type of design feature, actually came to market 16 days sooner. Still, the Mustang was a massive success, selling over 400,000 its first year. Now in its seventh generation the Mustang is still going strong. That is just one reason why there were quite a few on hand for the 34th Annual Rollin' On the River Charity Car Show sponsored by the Delhi Kiwanis and their affiliated Boy Scout troupe to raise money for area youth charities. Here are just a few of the 'Stangs on hand for the event, including this 1965 convertible.
