The spacious Monroe Township Park played host to the 6th Annual Rumble In the Park that drew in about 50 cars and trucks. The park is directly across the street from the Monroe Township Fire House who was the recipient of the proceeds from the event. Among the cars on display was an actual surviving 1972 Ford Pinto Runabout. The Pinto was sold between 1971 and 1980 with over three million produced. But it was the allegations stemming from some fatal fires that were the result of rear end collisions that made the Pinto so memorable. Numerous law suits were the result of these accidents. This one didn't explode. Also on display was a 1969 Dodge Dart Swinger, a 1966 Ford Fairlane, a 1941 Ford coupe, a Chevy Cheyenne pick up truck, a 1971 Dart, a Chevy 1500 Intimidator truck, and a GMC S15.
