There Was Plenty of Detroit Metal In Deer Park

The Cars In the Park At Deer Park car show brought in over 100 cars and trucks to the village's Chamberlain Park. As would be the case with any show this size a lot of those vehicles hailed from Detroit. For example, on the lawn was a modified 1939 Chevrolet Master Deluxe, a Chevy Malibu, a 1972 Chevelle Super Sport, an El Camino, a 1976 Dodge Aspen, and a Shelby Cobra. OK, so technically what became a Cobra started life in England as an AC Ace but it was Carroll Shelby at his California workshop who transformed them into iconic, road eating sports cars. But in any case, the car pictured isn't an actual Cobra, it's a kit car and the kit was made in America.
