Cadillac Luxury Was On Hand For the Pumpkin Run

Everyone knows that Cadillac is one of the top luxury cars in the world and has been since the company started back in 1902. But few people realize that it was Henry Ford who actually started what would become this iconic marquee. Ford's second effort to form a successful car company was called the Henry Ford Company but a dispute between him and investors prompted him to leave. The investors called in a prominent Detroit manufacturer, Henry M. Leland to appraise the equipment and facilities for sale but Leland convinced them to continue manufacturing cars. The new concern was re-named Cadillac after the founder of Detroit and thus Cadillac became the fourth actual American car company. The first cars were essentially what Ford would turn out after he founded the Ford Motor Company with one exception, the engines were re-designed. From the start there was luxury and that was never more evident than in the cars Cadillac made from the 1950s through the 1970s, the very cars that made their way to this past season's Pumpkin Run Nationals.
