It started in 1964 when Ford introduced the now iconic Mustang and gave birth to the Pony car movement. Yes, technically the Plymouth Barracuda came out 16 whole days earlier but neither it nor any of the others that followed had the impact as the Mustang which sold over 400,000 cars in it's initial model year. Cobbled together form the Falcon's parts bin and sporting a couple of engine options, including the tasty 289 cubic inch V 8, the Mustang ticked all the right boxes for a lot of people. That's why there are still so many fans and so many Mustangs around. Here are some of these cars that made it to this past season's Pumpkin Run Nationals sponsored by the Fastiques.
Whether they're the great classics, ultimate collectors, overlooked and forgotten, or even brand new cars I want to talk about them. Feel free to leave a comment or, better yet, drop me an email at turnerbudds@yahoo.com.
