The Dayton, OH based British Transportation Museum is, like all good museums, filled with both iconic and rare works of automotive art. A perfect example of the first is the car that Enzo Ferrari called the most beautiful car in the world, a Jaguar E-Type. The E-Type, or XKE as it was called in America for many years, was introduced in 1961 and was originally designed by Malcolm Sayer. The E-Type would live through three generations and end with the 1974 model. Also on display at the BTM is a 1964 Austin Mini Cooper S, a 1961 Morris Minor, a Triumph convertible, and a 1960 Peerless GT.
Whether they're the great classics, ultimate collectors, overlooked and forgotten, or even brand new cars I want to talk about them. Feel free to leave a comment or, better yet, drop me an email at turnerbudds@yahoo.com.
