The Chevrolet Corvette has a storied history. Introduced in 1953 as General Motor's attempt to stave off the swell of European sports cars that had followed American service men home following World War II, the car was fittingly named after a small class of warship. Now in its eighth generation, the Vette has become a mainstay at car events all over the country. The Park and Ride For Heroes show held at AJ Jolley Park in Campbell County was no exception with many of the ones that braved the threatening early morning weather being of more recent generations. Here are the Vettes that were part of the show.
