Mustang Cruised Into Lawrenceburg

The Mustang holds a number of distinctions for both the Ford Motor Company and the automobile industry as a whole. Introduced in 1964, it became the most successful vehicle launch since the 1927 Model A. For over 60 years it is Ford's longest running nameplate. It also served as the name behind a whole classification of automobiles, the pony car. To be fair, another car in the pony class, the Plymouth Barracuda, was introduced 16 days before the Mustang. Still, the massive popularity of the 'Stang caused the industry to look to it as the name of a classification. There is always a good selection of Mustangs on hand for just about any open old car event and the 9th Cruisin' to a Cure for ALS show in Lawrenceburg was no exception. Here are some of the Mustangs that were on hand that day.
