A. J. Jolly Park Hosts the Ronnie Cobb Memorial Car Show

 A. J. Jolly Park, located just south of Alexandria, is a big attraction in Campbell County. The park has just about everything you could want from athletic fields, horse trails, camping, picnic areas, tennis, fishing, even cornhole and Frisbee golf. A couple weeks back they also had the 7th Annual Ronnie Cobb Memorial Car Show. Among the vehicles that showed up was a 1964 Pontiac Tempest. Pontiac introduced the Tempest in 1960 to enter into the compact car market. A Tempest was the first new car my family owned and the first car I actually remember. Also on hand for the show was one of the last GTO models Pontiac delivered, a Chevy Nova SS, an International Harvester R 185 truck that has seen better days but is still running, another Nova, and a 1957 Chevy Bel Air.
