Future Classics At the Concours

When most people think of the cars on display at a concours event such as the 44th Cincinnati Concours d'Elegance, they think of older automobiles from established or forgotten companies. A growing number of these events, though, are showing off some much newer yet still rare numbers. In Cincinnati this class is called Future Classics and this year included a 2008 Deronda G400.  Developed by aerospace engineer Andy Round when he couldn't find a suitable track car, only a handful have been produced. This particular car, powered by a 6.0 L Chevrolet Corvette LS2 V8 engine that pushes out 400 horse power was featured on Jay Leno's Garage.

This 2013 Lamborghini Gallardo was from the last model year of its run. This was the best selling Lambo model of all time with a production run of just over 14,000. Able to go from zero to 62 miles per hour in 3.7 seconds it has a top speed or 202. It is powered by a 5.2 L V10 that generates 522 horse power.

The Corvette is one of the most iconic American automobiles of all time. Now in it's 8th generation, this 2020 Vette is the first to sport a mid engine design, placing the 6.2 L LT2 V8 engine behind the driver and passenger. Able to go from zero to 60 in 2.8 seconds the car has a top speed or 184 miles per hour.

This 2003 Aston Martin DB7 is one of only 191 made and one of only 64 imported to the United States and the only one in this color. It has a 5.9 L naturally aspirated V12 engine that generates 435 horse power. This is good enough for a zero to 60 time of 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 185 miles per hour.

Ferrari has always had cars on limited production runs. This 2015 458 Speciale is one of only 3000 ever built. It sports a 4.5 L V8 engine that pounds out 597 horse power which is enough to propel the car from zero to 60 in 3.2 seconds. Its top speed is limited to 199 miles per hour.

This 2020 BMW M2 CS is one of only 564 built for the U.S. market. It has a 3.0 L turbocharged inline six cylinder engine the pounds out 444 horse power. This is good for a zero to 60 time of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 174 miles per hour.

For 2001 Porsche made a limited run of only 247 pre-production 911 GT2s. This is the only one in America. This completely unrestored gem as a 3.6 L turbocharged flat six cylinder engine pushing out 456 horse power. It's top speed is 198 miles per hour and it is capable of a zero to 60 time of 3.9 seconds.

This 2022 Porsche GT3 Touring had an automatically deploying rear spoiler which pops up when the car senses the need. The car has a 4.0 L flat six cylinder engine that generates 503 horse power. This is good for a top speed of 198 miles per hour and a zero to 60 time of 3.4 seconds.
