The Cincinnati Concours d'Elegance has a history of having new and different classes for their event. For the 44th iteration they had a class for Sport Utility Vehicles. Among those on display was a 1990 Jeep Wagoneer. The Wagoneer was made for 29 years until 1991. This Jeep was purchased in Wyoming and spent most of its time in Colorado and only needed a minor restoration.
Willys made the Jeep Station Wagon from 1946 until 1964. This one is from the last year of the model's life. This is one of only 40 built as a 4x2 rather than a 4x4 that year. It has 62,000 original miles on its 134 cubic inch F134 Hurricane inline four cylinder engine that puts out 75 horse power.
The fifth generation of the Ford Bronco was introduced in 1992 and was made through 1996. This first year model was based on the Ford F-150 chassis. It has a 351 cubic inch Windsor V8 engine that generates 203 horse power.
The longest running Toyota model is the Landcruiser which was first introduced in 1951. This is a 1985 FJ60 model. The 60 series was produced from 1980 through 1990 had featured such creature comforts as air conditioning. It has a modified LS3 V8 engine.
In 1995 Land Rover only sent only 5000 NAS Defender 90s to America. This is number 2965. This was hand made and features a Birmabright alloy body and a 3.9 L Rover V8 engine. This SUV has never been restored.
This 1978 International Scout II was produced in Fort Wayne, IN as were all Scouts between 1971 and 1980. It had a frame off restoration in 2016 but the 345 cubic inch V8 was restored to original factory specs.
Chevrolet began producing the Carryall Suburban in 1934 and GMC brought out the Suburban name three years later. This 1952 model has been restored to stock specifications including its 228 cubic inch straight six cylinder overhead cam six cylinder engine that generates 100 horse power.
