MoPar Took To Lawrenceburg

Though one of the "Big Three" U.S. automakers, Chrysler was a bit late to the party. After working with General Motor's Buick division, Walter P. Chrysler started his namesake firm in 1925. Copying GM's diverse brand strategy, Chrysler bought the Dodge Brothers Company and within a couple of years had created the Plymouth and DeSoto brands to try to offer an automobile for every segment of the population. Throughout the years and with various ownership changes, the company has become familiarly known by the shortened version of its Motor Parts Division, MoPar. There were plenty of MoPar machines on hand for the 9th Cruisin' To a Cure For ALS show in Lawrenceburg. Among them was a Dodge Dart, a 1971 Dodge Challenger R/T, a Plymouth Barracuda, a Plymouth Fury III, a new Dodge Challenger R/T, a 1970 Plymouth GTX, and a 1971 Plymouth 'Cuda.
