The 9th Annual Cruisin' To a Cure For ALS Car Show held in Lawrenceburg, IN was held recently under less than favorable weather conditions which limited the turnout to just around 200 or so cars and trucks. This has become our region's first big show of the season and all of the money raised goes to ALS research. The organizer does this because he lost his grandfather to the disease. Still, despite the weather, this great cause brought out a lot of great automobiles and also some wonderful friends. The top picture is of my long time friend Jamie Schworer and her two classic cars. On the right is her newly purchased C3 Chevrolet Corvette which she bought because her father was a one time president of the local Corvette club. The car on the right might be a bit familiar to regular readers of this blog as it is a 1964 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud III (check out these links: https://turnerbudds-carblog.blogspot.com/2011/10/star-of-car.html and https://turnerbudds-carblog.blogspot.com/2012/11/hollywood-magic.html) as some of it's illustrious history has been documented here in the past. Also on hand for this event were a trio of Jeeps, a racer that, according to the owner, hit 200 MPH at the Bonneville Salt Flats, and a Plymouth Barracuda.
