Oldsmobile Show Up to Fight ALS

In 1897 Ransom E. Olds created his namesake company, Oldsmobile. In 1901 it manufactured 635 cars making it the highest volume car company in America at the time. Olds left the company in 1904 following a dispute with the company's sales manager. He went on to form the REO Motorcar Company, famous for a vehicle called the Speedwagon. Yes, that's right, REO Speedwagon the band took that as its name. By 1909 Olds had become a part of General Motors where it slid in as a mid range brand. But despite of having good sales through most of its years by 2000 they were sagging and by 2004 GM shut down the Olds brand. Luckily there were quite a few that made it to the 6th Annual Cruisin' For A Cure For ALS show in Lawrenceburg. Among them was this F85, along with various years and versions of the Cutlass and the 88 as well as the awesome 442 muscle car.
