Trucks Were On Hand In Lawrenceburg

The first truck was built in 1896 by Gottlieb Daimler, the same German who is credited with having a hand in developing the first motorized vehicle in 1885. And while some vehicles were modified to help carry around materials, it was Henry Ford who made the first pick up truck in America with the TT in 1917. Since then trucks have become a mainstay on highways and by-ways all around the world. In fact, quite a few rolled into Lawrenceburg for the 6th Annual Cruisin' For A Cure For ALS show. Among them was a 1947 Divco milk truck, a Dodge Ram, a Chevy 10, a 1940 Seagrave fire truck, a GMC 3100, a Chevy 1300, a modified Chevrolet pick up, a 1968 Dodge 100, and a well worn GMC.
