Mid-Century Chevrolets Were On Hand For Cruisin' For a Cure

Mid-century Chevrolet automobiles are, to say the least, iconic. Coming out of World War II General Motors sought to fully take control of the sales race and their low price leader line got the biggest push. Chevy in the 1950s were massive sellers. In 1955 alone they sold over 800,000 vehicles. While Ford actually had the best selling car of 1957 with 28,454 more than Chevy, the GM price leader won the rest of the decade. That's one reason why there are generally so many of these mid-century Chevys at open car shows. The Cruisin' For a Cure For ALS show in Lawrenceburg was no exception. While there were a number of the famed Tri-5s (110, 210 and Bel Air models from 1955 - 1957), there were also a few others such as a concour quality 1952 Bel Air,  a 1951 version, and a1953 3100 station wagon.
