Scheduling a car show in the spring is always an iffy proposition in this part of the country. Weather can change faster than someone running late can change lanes. But for this year's first show of the season we were presented with near perfect weather. The high temperature was in the upper 60s. There was a light breeze and wispy clouds, just enough to keep the sun from beating down on those who were gathered in the parking lot for the Cars and Courage show sponsored by the Green Township VFW Post 10380. Among the cars on display were a 1969 Plymouth Road Runner, a customized 2002 Volkswagen Beetle, a Pontiac Trans Am ready to go East Side and Down with Smokey and the Bandit, a Dodge Viper, a Challenger R/T, a third generation Ford Thunderbird, and a 1969 Chevy Camaro Rally Sport.
