The Pumpkin Run Nationals Saw Plenty of Buicks

The oldest American car maker still in existence is Buick. It rolled out its first car in 1899 and eventually became the back bone of General Motors. Originally slotted as an upper mid level car, nestled just behind Cadillac in GM's hierarchy to make a car for every market, Buick was well represented at the 47th Pumpkin Run Nationals. Held at the Clermont County Fair Grounds and the work of the Fastiques Rod and Custom Car Club, the Pumpkin Run is limited to cars and trucks from 1974 or earlier and still managed to draw in about 2500 entrants this past year. Some of the Buicks on hand was a 1949 Eight, a beautiful Roadmaster convertible, a Roadmaster sedan, a 1939 coupe, a 1962 La Sabre, a 1966 Sport Wagon,  1939 Special, 1966 Century, a 1960 Electra, and a 1979 Regal,.
