In 1900 a pair of brothers, Horace and John Dodge, opened a machine shop in Detroit, MI with the intent of manufacturing parts for the burgeoning automobile industry. Their first big client was Ford where they received a 10 percent share in Henry's company. They also made engines and other components for Oldsmobile. After a falling out with Henry Ford, the brothers began making their own automobiles and rolled out their first in 1914. After both brothers passed away in 1920, Dodge was bought up by Chrysler where it remains today. The company really made its name with trucks but also thrived in the muscle car era. These cars remain popular today and, in fact, a large number took part in the 47th Pumpkin Run Nationals held at the Clermont County Fair Grounds. Among the Dodge cars on display was a Dart Swinger, a 1968 Coronet, a Charger, a 1967 full size van, and another Dart Swinger.
