The 47th Pumpkin Run Nationals brought over2500 cars and trucks to the Clermont County Fair Grounds over a three day period this past September. It is by far the largest old car event in the region and brings in thousands of dollars to a number of different charities. In addition to the car show there is also a vendors selling all sorts of car related wares, a swap meet, an auction, games for the kids, bands and DJs providing music, and plenty to eat. All of this takes a lot of planning and organization by the host club, the Fastiques Rod and Custom Car Club. In fact, according to member of the group, this is a year round activity in order to get it all ready. But the results are spectacular as so many great vehicles, all from 1974 or earlier, take part. Among this year's group was a 1949 Packard Super 8, an actual decommissioned Army Jeep, a Volkswagen based dune buggy, a Packard Caribbean, a Studebaker Daytona, a 1936 Marlene Mercedes, and a Willys Jeepster.
