The Cars of Orville Wright

Orville and Wilbur Wright were from Dayton and lived most of their lives in the city when they weren't inventing ways to allow people to fly. Orville in particular had a fondness for automobiles and so to honor this, the 11th Annual Dayton Concours d'Elegance brought together some example of the cars that Orville owned in his lifetime to put on display.

Included in this set of beautiful cars was a 1932 Pierce Arrow Club Brougham, a 1904 St. Louis that had a one cylinder engine, a 1933 Essex Terraplane which was what parent company dubbed it as a "land plane," a 1933 Essex Terraplane 8 with an eight cylinder engine, a 1916 Ford Model T which was actually a staff car for the Wright Brothers' company, and a 1937 Terraplane utility coupe.
