Cheviot Flexes Its Muscle

While there was a great deal of variety at this year's Cheviot Classic Car Show, there were probably more muscle cars than any other category. Especially in this random group. Sure I have a couple of others in this batch (Tri-5 Chevys in particular) but Cheviot was really flexing its muscle in this grouping.

Mid-Week From Cheviot

What do you get when you have a 1967 Dart GT, a couple of old Vettes, a great looking old Caddy convertible, a '57 Bel Air, a beautiful Firebird, a magnificent Trans Am, and a GTX? You have mid-week at the Cheviot Classic Car Show.

10 Epically Named Engines

This is a great piece from the Car and Driver web site about 10 great engines from when Detroit power plants ruled. http://www.caranddriver.com/flipbook/10-epic-and-epically-named-engines-from-when-detroit-ruled-the-world?src=nlbe&mag=cdb&list=nl_dvr_news&date=DED052615

From Model T to Muscle Car

I was pleasantly surprised when I first rolled into the Cheviot Classic Car Show to see not only how many cars were there but some amazing variety, as well. That is why these random posts, posting in the order I saw the cars, is so much fun. Looking at the pictures from today's post I saw everything from a classic Model T to a pure bred muscle Challenger. Plus there was a car that did the Paris to Peking run. Amazing stuff.

Another Week From Cheviot

As promised, here is another week of posts from the great Cheviot Classic Car Show. Often times at larger shows I'll group like models of cars together; or perhaps I'll put together posts of cars from the same era. But with this show I decided to just post them as I shot them. I hope that this will help emphasize the wide variety that I saw at Harvest Home Park that day. Come on, how can you not love seeing everything from a late model BMW 6 Series to a post war Ford Custom?

The End of the Week For the Cheviot Classic Car Show

We made it through a whole week of posts from this year's Cheviot Classic Car Show and have barely scratched the surface of all of the great machines that were on display. In fact I have well over a months worth of pictures that I can post. Not that I'll do them all at once. As I promised, next week I'll post some more from this show and then I'll hold the rest in reserve in case of a bunch of rain outs or to fill in once the season is over. I hope you've enjoyed these pictures so far. As always, feel free to leave comments or to drop me a line at turnerbudds@yahoo.com.

An Open Car Show

The Cheviot Classic Car Show is an open show as is evidenced by the wide variety of rides I've been posting. I like these kinds of shows, especially like this one where you not only get to see the expected but a nice selection of the not so common classics as well.

This was also a Show and Shine Car Show held in conjunction with the wonderful Show and Shine Calendar (http://showandshinecalendar.com/). There are various Show and Shine shows held throughout the season with winners having their picture posted in next year's calendar.
