Large Turnout Means Lots of Photos From Deer Park

The Super Sixties Car Show held at Dillonvale Shopping Center in Deer Park brought out a higher than expected number of automobiles, especially considering the threat of rain that had been predicted. Obviously with more cars that meant more to photograph for me and more posts. For today we have a 1967 Ford Mustang convertible, a concours quality 1965 Thunderbird (that happens to belong to my friend Don), a Chevy Impala,  a cool Chevy based street rod, and a Pontiac Firebird.

The Variety Continues From the Super Sixties Show

If you've been following the blog recently you know I've been posting from the Super Sixties Car Show in Deer Park. Hopefully you've noticed the wide variety of automobiles that have been in the posts. I haven't grouped these cars in any way and am just posting them in the order in which I shot them. Today we have a 1957 Chevy Bel Air, a custom street rod, a custom pick up truck, a fantastic looking AMX trim on an AMC Javelin, a pair of 1937 Plymouth coupes. and a 1970 Chevy.

More Great Cars From the Super Sixties Car Show

This 1962 Rambler American is just one excellent example of all the cars that came out for the Super Sixties Car Show in Deer Park. Also braving the threat of rain was a Chevy S10 pick up truck (that's an early Harley in the back), a C 2 Corvette, a 1962 Impala, and a 1957 Bel Air.

The Return Of Cars At Car Show Season Brought Out Some Gems

Last year the global pandemic pretty much wiped out our entire car show season. Now with vaccines available and cases dropping, especially in our area, a few car shows have been tentatively scheduled and so far the turn outs have been spectacular. The Super Sixties Car Show in Deer Park was no exception as the promoters had to increase the area set aside to show the cars. Among the many fantastic collector cars that showed up was this Oldsmobile 442, a 1938 Plymouth, and a Pontiac LeMans.

More Cars Than Expected Rolled Into Deer Park

When I first arrived at the Dillonvale Shopping Center in Deer Park for the Super Sixties Car Show there was plenty of space and some cars were taking up two spots in order to spread out. The main reason for this was that no one expected the show to be a huge draw. The weather was reporting the chance of rain and most collector car owners try to stay away from inclement weather. But to the surprise and delight of the organizers far more cars than expected came out and they were forced to expand the show area in the parking lot. Among those that braved the weather was this 1963 Chevy Nova SS, a Corvair, a beautifully re-done Willys street rod, and a 1965 Pontiac Catalina.

A Wide Assortment At Deer Park

The Dillonvale Shopping Center in Deer Park played host to a wide assortment of classic and collector cars as the Super Sixties Car Show brought between 70 and 80 great rides out on a day where there was a threat of rain. Among the cars being shown was a beautiful 1968 Plymouth Road Runner, a Chevy Biscayne, a third generation Corvette, and a Ford Galaxie 500.
