Wrapping Up the Week at ACE

This year's Annual ACE Car Show attracted a number of vehicles that you normally don't see at the every day shows. If you happened to catch yesterday's post you know exactly what I mean. To wrap up the week we have a few more great rides including a VW Microbus Transporter, a 1969 Ford Bronco, a not quite stock Chevy, a beautiful 1968 Camaro, a 1955 Chevy pick up, a 1955 Bel Air, and a customized Ford coupe.

Mid Week With the ACE Show

This year's ACE car show was small compared to some turn outs in the past but was on par with what it has been the past few years. But at some shows it isn't the quantity but rather the quality and this event sure had the latter. Among the cars on the lawn for this show was a 1930 Ford Model A 5 window coupe, a pristine 1959 Cadillac, a 1964 1/2 Mustang, a Camaro convertible, a pair of modern MoPar muscle cars, and a gorgeous Chevy Impala.

Beautiful Weather For ACE

This year's ACE club show was held in beautiful Alcoa Park with wonderful weather. Clouds filled the sky, providing a delightful amount of shade as a cool breeze belied the 80 degree weather. The only way you could tell it was supposed to be hot was with the humidity in the air. That didn't stop some great cars from coming out, though, including a Chevy Camaro convertible, a 1964 Ford Falcon, a C 3 Corvette, a couple of modern MoPar muscle, a 1928 Ford Turor street rod, and a 1934 Ford coupe.

ACE Show

ACE was founded many years ago by a group of car fans who all worked at Alcoa Steel. The Alcoa Car Enthusiasts began gathering each year and now it is a regular stop for many in the region. This year's event was rather small (only about 50 cars) but it was a nice selection in attendance. Included on the lawn at Alcoa Park was a Ford street rod, a Mustang, a gorgeous Packard Four Hundred, a Cadillac Seville, a 1957 Chevy Bel Air, a Monte Carlo, and a Dodge Coronet 500.

Most American Made Cars

Here's an interesting article I found in USA Today that details the top 10 cars that are mostly American made. While a traditional American vehicle, Jeep, tops the list, keep in mind that it's parent company is based in Italy. Read the article, it's pretty interesting.

The Trade War Comes to the Auto Industry

Here's an insightful article from USA Today about how the trade war created by President Trump might well affect the auto industry.

More Variety From Alexandria

The 5th Annual Ronnie Cobb Memorial Car and Bike Show may not have been the largest show of the season but over 50 great vehicles still rolled onto the grass at the Alexandria Fair Grounds to give people a look at rolling history. Some of the cars they saw were a second generation Chevy Corvette, a 1956 Bel Air, a Chevelle Super Sport, a 1980 Corvette, an El Camino, a post war Chevy pick up, and a customized 1934 Ford Victoria.
