Volkswagens At the Pumpkin Run

While the Annual Pumpkin Run Nationals is heavily geared toward American metal, quite a few imports always show up among the 2500 or so cars that roll into the Clermont County Fair Grounds. Among them this past season was a number of Volkswagens. I used to own a VW But with my brother and even after he got it pancaked on the highway we managed to re-build it and turn it into a very fun mud buggy. Take a look at these VWs and let me know which one you like the best. Either drop a comment or send an email to turnerbudds@yahoo.com.

Buicks At the Pumpkin Run

The fantastic Fastiques Car Club are the hard workers behind the massive Pumpkin Run Nationals which has been going for 44 years now. Producing this event is a massive undertaking and it requires the aid of dozens of volunteers. But with over 2500 great classic beauties, all from 1974 or older rolling onto the fair grounds, it's worth it.

Among the many cars from this past season's show were a number of fabulous Buicks. Among them was a beautiful pair of 1939 two doors, a 1969 GTS, a 1968 442, a well kept 1962 Solara,  and many more. Let me know your favorite by leaving a comment.

Some Willys Gems At the Pumpkin Run

The Annual Pumpkin Run Nationals is one of the few places that I've ever been able to see more than one, maybe two old Willys automobiles in the same location. Willys, as many of you probably know, is the most famous of the companies that made the Jeep for the army back in World War II and maintained the line through various sales into today. Because Willys at the time was one of the better equipped and more powerful cars a lot of the ones that have survived have been modified over the years. Still, it's pretty amazing to see this many in one locations. Take a look at these and feel free to leave a note about which ones you like the best.

Back To the Pumpkin Run

As I explained in a post a couple of weeks ago, our local car show season should have been starting by now but due to the Corona Virus everything is in limbo (at least at the time I'm writing this). So for the time being I'm going to continue to plow my way through some of the many unpublished photos I'd taken during the last season. For that reason, it's back to the 44th Annual Pumpkin Run Nationals.

The Pumpkin Run is a massive three day event that draws over 2500 cars and fills the Clermont County Fairgrounds with not only cars but food, music, vendors, a swap meet, even a car corral. But it's the cars that are the focus. Today, I'm showing a lovely group of Chevy Bel Airs. I actually learned to drive in a 1955 Bel Air that was supposed to be a parts car for my cousins' race car. I was 13 when they tossed me the keys and I managed to get through the gears. Take a look at these and feel free to leave a comment letting me know which is your favorite.

Imports From Show N Tell

Today I'm wrapping up all the photos I have taken from the 10th Annual Show N Tell show. Today I am offering up some imported gems. Among them is a 1987 Mercedes Benz 560SL, an MGB, a pair of Volkswagen Beetles, a Jaguar E-Type (from behind), a Triumph TR-7, and a Jag SJ-6.

Oldies At Show N Tell

Today we have a rare Saturday post as I'm trying to get through all of the photos I took from the 10th Annual Show N Tell show this past year. Today's lot is a group of some of the oldest vehicles that were on display. Among them is a Ford TT truck, a 1931 Hupmobile, an early Ford V8, a 1936 Roadster convertible, a 1936 Dodge, a 1937 Plymouth, a 1934 Ford 3 window coupe, and a 1937 Cord.

From Before the War

While all of the cars that participated in this past season's Pumpkin Run Nationals was from 1974 or earlier, there were quite a few beautiful machines that were made prior to World War II. This is a group of early metal made up mostly of Fords.
