Some Different Cars On Display In Green Township
When you pull in well over 100 cars for a show, the way the Green Township Police Citizen's Academy Show managed to do, you will get some of the usual vehicles but also a few rare and different rides as well. One perfect example is this 1936 Packard with beautiful coachwork by Henney Motor Company. Also on the Diamond Oaks campus lot was a fantastic 1968 Plymouth Volare, a 1966 Pontiac GTO, a Ford Mach 1 Mustang, an Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme, a 1995 Trans Am, a 1969 Chevy Nova, and a Chevy S10 pick up truck.

A Show To Help Citizens Learn About Law Enforcement
To help support this effort the township holds the Green Township Police Citizen's Academy Car Show. This year's event was a smashing success with well over 100 vehicles packing the Diamond Oaks educational center parking lot. Among the cars on hand was a brilliant Ferrari 512 BB. The aptly dubbed Berlinetta Boxer replaced the Daytona and became the first Ferrari badged car to sport a mid mounted V-12 engine (yes, the 308 that was originally released as a Dino and later re-branded as a Ferrari had a mid mounted engine but that was only a V-8).
Also on display was a 1957 Volkswagen Beetle, a 1970 Oldsmobile 442, a Ford Fairlane 500, a slick AMC AMX, a work in progress Chevy Monte Carlo, and a highly customized 1989 Dodge Raider that sports a 5.2 liter engine that literally turned just about every head when it rolled onto the lot.
