Among the many General Motors cars on display at this past season's Pumpkin Run Nationals hosted by the Fastiques, were a good selection of Pontiac automobiles. Among them was a very nicely done Bonneville convertible, a 1956 Chieftain, a 1956 Star Chief, and a host of other impressive cars.
Whether they're the great classics, ultimate collectors, overlooked and forgotten, or even brand new cars I want to talk about them. Feel free to leave a comment or, better yet, drop me an email at turnerbudds@yahoo.com.

Studebaker Made a Turn At the Pumpkin Run
As a now defunct line, Studebaker seems to remain iconic when it comes to car shows. It's always a delight to see one on the grounds. But at this past season's Pumpkin Run Nationals at the Clermont County Fair Grounds there were more than one. Led by a beautifully restored Champion, there were also other models such as a Champ pick up, some Larks, and even some Hawks.

Buick and Olds Were On Display At the Pumpkin Run
Early in their history General Motors made the decision to slot their various brands so that every pocket book would have a car to choose. With Cadillac at the top of the luxury line and Chevy at the most affordable end, they seemed to indeed have reached their goal. Their two mid level brands, Buick and Oldsmobile, made a strong showing at this past season's Pumpkin Run Nationals. Here are a few of those cars that were on display.

Some Early Cars Were At the Pumpkin Run
When you have a show where every car has to be from 1974 or earlier you should figure you will get some that are just a bit older. That's the case with the Pumpkin Run Nationals sponsored by the Fastiques. Some of those earlier cars on display were a beautiful Cadillac, a Buick Roadmaster, a Ford convertible, a 1940 Ford Deluxe, a Ford coupe, a slightly modified and chopped Ford, a Mercury Eight convertible, a 1938 Buick 8, and a 1937 Ford.

Ford Motor Company Made A Showing At the Pumpkin Run
The Ford Motor Company had its usual strong showing at this past season's Pumpkin Run Nationals. Among the vehicles on display was a 1968 Mercury Cyclone GTS, a 1967 Cougar, a 1964 Fairlane 500XL, a very early Fairlane, a 1967 Cougar, an Econoline van, and a 1958 Lincoln.

A Few More Chevys Found Their Way To the Pumpkin Run
This past season's Pumpkin Run Nationals was a spectacular return after being postponed by the global pandemic the year before. With over 2500 cars and trucks, each being from 1974 or earlier, it's little wonder that a large percentage were sporting the "bow tie" logo of Chevrolet. I've posted a ton of pictures of Chevy automobiles over the past several weeks and here are some more that made their way to the Clermont County Fair Grounds for this amazing event. Among them is a 1964 Impala, a 1970 Caprice, a Monte Carlo, a collection of El Camino models.

More Imports Came Ashore For the Pumpkin Run
While the Pumpkin Run Nationals consists mostly of American cars, there are quite a few of the pre-1975 vehicles that come from foreign lands. Here are some that were on hand for this past season's show. Among them was a 1974 Volkswagen Beetle, an Austin Healey, a 1972 Honda Z600, my friend's 1964 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II that was the actual car Sammy Davis, Jr.'s character used in the film Cannonball Run (search the blog for more on this), a 1968 Beetle and a 1972 Beetle.
